It's all about YOU!
Name: Michael Saad Gender: Male City of residence: Bristol Hometown: Chicago Age: 48 Occupation: I have two — Abbott International Marketing Manager, Bristol School Board Vice President What is your ideal job? Teaching, coaching and working with children. What is the coolest/strangest thing about your family? Alexis, Ty, Brandon and I are big Nintendo Wii fans. We’ve had some pretty intense Mario Kart races, and Ty’s amazing on Guitar Hero! Any pets? Two fish named Daddy and Alexis. My daughter caught them in a Father’s Day fishing derby for me. What are your favorite reads? “Bo’s Lasting Lessons” by Bo Schembechler, “The Greatest Salesman in the World” by Og Mandino, “The Road Less Traveled” by M. Scott Peck, “Positive Coaching” by Jim Thompson (by far the best book I’ve ever read, a must for anybody with kids), “The Civil War Narrative” by Shelby Foote. How often do you read the newspaper? Every day. Sports section before work, rest of the paper when I get home. What are your favorite TV shows? “Hannah Montana” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” ... two of my favorites. I like watching them with my daughter Alexis What TV shows are you embarrassed to admit you watch? I just admitted to two of them above! I was singing and dancing with the best of them at the Hannah Montana concert in Milwaukee. Favorite movies? “Shawshank Redemption,” “Transformers” (Alexis and I have watched this 100 times!), “Unbreakable,” “Harry Potter” and “Lord of the Rings” movies. What is your dream job? Coaching my daughter’s high school basketball team. She’s only 8 so I have a few years to get ready. What are you most likely to be searching for when you raid the fridge after midnight? Big cheese and crackers fan, I’ve been raiding the cookie jar lately, and it’s just killing my girlish figure! Any hobbies? Building retro bicycles from scratch. I buy parts at bike swap meets and buy, sell and trade parts on eBay. I also enjoy fixing and building computers. If you could be any superhero, what powers would you have? Superman, at least that’s what my daughter thinks! Having the strength to help people and the flight to be there when I’m needed, fits my personality. Do you consider yourself religious? I do not participate in any religion, I believe in some force watching over us, greater than us all, call it God for lack of a better word. I’m a Christian in action and believe that all people are good given the chance! What is your favorite place to go in Kenosha County? The back roads west of I-94. I’ve biked 1000s of miles all over Kenosha and Racine counties. What’s your favorite ethnic food? Arabic food. I recently took a trip to Cario, Egypt, with my wife. They have the most amazing food. What is one thing most people don’t know about you? I’m a computer and technology geek, I’m always tinkering with how to do things better and faster. Technology’s amazing, but should never take the place of personal relationships, as a society we’re losing how to talk to each other in person! What is the best advice you have received? When it’s time to work, work hard. When it’s time to play, play hard ... never do anything unless you go 100 percent! Do you believe in ghosts? I believe in ghosts, there’s some forces/dimensions going on around us that we haven’t figured out yet. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Without question pizza! It sits in my gut like a rock, but man can I pound it down! What is your pet peeve? People that are negative. I believe that all problems can be solved by working together and never pointing fingers. It’s OK to make mistakes! What is your worst habit? Snacking while watching movie /sports. Alexis and I can pound down a bag of Cheetos or a box of Cheese Nips in a single sitting! I know every one of you can identify with this!
