The Kenosha Unified hockey team allowed six short-handed goals in falling to state-ranked Cedarburg, 6-0, in a non-conference match at Ozaukee Ice Arena.

Unified (5-3-1) trailed 1-0 after the first period and allowed two goals in the second period. Cedarburg (12-2-1) is ranked eighth in the latest WisPrep Hockey Poll.

“It wasn’t a penalty-filled game,” Unified coach Phil Wade said. “Cedarburg just capitalized.”

Unified was outshot 44-17. Nick Hollendonner finished with 38 saves.

Kenosha hosts Warren (Ill.) in a non-conference match at the LakeView IcePlex 4:45 p.m. Friday.
