The St. Joseph golf team won a Division-3 regional title for the second consecutive year Wednesday at Brighton Dale Links Blue Spruce Course.
Led by Joe Woodward’s 7-over par 79 (40-39), the Lancers topped the 10-team field with a 336, comfortably ahead of runner-up Racine Lutheran (345) and third-place Heritage Christian (347).
Shoreland Lutheran (361) finished fourth to also advance, and Christian Life (376) placed sixth.
The top four teams and top four individuals not a qualifying team moved on to Tuesday’s sectional at Trempealeau Mountain Golf Club.
Woodward made 10 pars and seven bogeys and was among three players to break 80.
The others were Heritage Christian’s Enrique Rodriguez (76) and Racine Lutheran’s Cameron Mahnke (78).
Also golfing for St. Joseph were Jordan Pond (82), George Patterson (87), Ron Koth (88) and Alex Zenzola (110).
Elliot Jones paced Shoreland with an 84, while Jeff Stanich III and Mike Roekle each shot 89, Clay Rust fired a 99 and Grant Wuerker had a 120.
Nick Svehla led Christian Life with a 90, and Chaz Bostick (93), Sam Coel (94), Madeline Bond (99) and Randy Roux (102) also played for the Eagles.
