Jackie Dean broke the online players’ three-week strangehold on the Kenosha News Football Poll by going the traditional newspaper route to capture Week 8.

Dean was the lone entrant to record a 12-3 record. It was the most misses by a champion, making Week 8 the toughest slate of games this season.

Dean missed on Ohio State, Navy and the Bears.

It’s turkey time

This week the Football Poll comes to a close with the annual “Pass The Turkey” Contest.

This week’s winner from all the online and paper ballots received will receive $75.

The yearly curtain-closer also features $15 grocery certificates for the first 10 runners-up.

To enter this week’s contest, fill out the form below. Ballots must be submitted to the Kenosha News by 7 p.m. Friday.
