I can only imagine how devastating it would be to lose a child.

How sad that a Bell family member considers the settlement a victory. A young man lost his life. Those police officers didn’t wake up that morning and say, “I think I’ll go kill someone today.” Plus, they have to live with this the rest of their lives. This incident is not a victory in any sense of the word except the Bell family is walking away with a huge money settlement. I hope the money helps the Bells find closure and they enjoy their settlement. I totally understand Chief Morrissey’s frustration and comments. It’s a shame this couldn’t have been taken through the court system to establish true closure. Let’s pray everyone works to prevent horrible incidents like this in the future.
