What a mix-up and how devastating when United Auto Workers Trust Fund switched all retirees to Humana Medicare. No consideration was given to the effect it would have on insurance carried by spouses or other family members. I now have no insurance according to Humana and Medicare. As a former state employee, I already had Humana Medicare insurance, but was under the Chrysler plan listed as a dependent on my husband’s insurance. I have been working since Jan. 4 (the first day that phone lines were open) to correct this flaw. How time-consuming and depressing this situation is. It would have been nice to have gotten more information on exactly what insurance UAW was going to switch all the retirees to before it actually happened.
