Robert C. Valdez, 56, of Kenosha, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his home, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born April 18, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of the late Santos and Frances (Castillo) Valdez. He was educated in the schools of Texas and Kenosha. He married Herlinda Garcia on May 9, 1969, in Kenosha, Wis. He worked for AMC - Chrysler for 25 years.

His hobbies were playing poker and telling jokes and he was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Survivors include his wife, Herlinda of Kenosha; three children, Robert (Kathi) Valdez of Kenosha, Delta (Eddie Garza) Valdez of Indiana and Belinda (Scott) Petkovic of Kenosha; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Emiliano Barrera) Garcia of Kenosha and Debbie (Axel Alvarez) Martinez of Illinois; four brothers and six sisters; nine grandsons, and five granddaughters, Robert III, Nickolas, Lucas, Ava, Dezaray, Angel, KJ, Maxwell, EJ, Esai, Elesette, Eleo, Sonylee and Luzmila. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mercedes Garcia.

Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2010, from 2-5 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services, with a funeral service at 3:30 p.m.
