Eugene C. “Bo” Gumbinger, 92, of Kenosha, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Home.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1918, in Kenosha, the son of the late Alfred and Johanna (Fell) Gumbinger. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He worked as a meat cutter for Piggly Wiggly, retiring in 1981. He was a founding member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in India and China and was a member of the World War II pre calvary era. An avid Chicago sports fan, he loved football, baseball and horse racing.
Survivors include six nephews and two nieces and many grand and great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Lawrence, Alfred - Archbishop of Turkey, Cyril, Jerome, Marcellus (Mousie), Idle, his twin brother, who died in infancy and Norbert; two sisters, Sylvia and Giunevere (Babe).
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial at St. George Cemetery.
