Camosy history
Camosy Construction celebrates its 100th year in 2010. Some personal and project highlights through the years:
1910 — Dominick Camosy establishes D. Camosy Builder, Chicago Heights, Ill., and later moves to Kenosha.
1923 — Italian American Club is among the company’s first major projects.
1953 — Remo Camosy, Dominick’s son, becomes president of the company.
1961 — Carthage College library, auditorium, science building built.
1976 — UW-Parkside student union built.
1986 — Raymond Camosy, Remo’s son, becomes president of Camosy Construction.
1998 — Cinemark’s Tinseltown cinema built.
2007 — John Camosy, Raymond’s brother, becomes president of Camosy Construction.
2007 — Prairie Ridge Commons shopping mall built.
2010-11 — Planning/construction of Indian Trail Academy addition, Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha, Kenosha YMCA aquatic center.
