Stu the Piano Man
March 11
Ashling on the Lough, tu was born on December 14, 1972, and grew up just across the border in Illinois. Stu spent much of his growing up years listening to music and was always fascinated with the piano. When he was 9 his parents rented a piano for a year to see if he would stick with the lessons before buying the piano. He still have the same piano today. Stu started creating his own original music at age 11. After high school, Stu sang and danced with several other college students at The Heidel House Resort & Conference Center in Green Lake, WI. He began solo playing and singing publicly in February, 2004 by walking into a local bar that didn't have entertainment for the night. He had some of his own equipment in the car and asked the owner if he could play in his bar for tips and beer. He agreed. Stu recorded and released his first CD, Looking for Change, back in January, 2007. Stu is a repeat for SouthFest and we are happy to have him back.

Racine Irish Comedy Tour
March 11
Memorial Hall, Irish Comedy Tour Features Comedy Central Comedian

For Immediate Release

RACINE, WI – February 26, 2010 –They’re Irish, they’re American, and they’re not holding back!

The Irish Comedy Tour invades Racine Civic Centre’s Memorial Hall on Thursday, March 11, 2010, bringing with them the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub.

“What better way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend a day early, then a night of comedy,” stated Executive Director Rik Edgar.

The comedians, whose ancestors hail from the Emerald Isle, include Detroit native Derek Richards, Boston-born Mike McCarthy, and New Yorker Jim Paquette. Audiences howl at Richards’ tales about his mom’s dog, the holidays and dating a stripper. He has appeared on the Bob & Tom show, XM and Sirius Radio, and the Weather Channel’s Top 10. McCarthy’s no-holds-barred humor has landed him on Comedy Central and Showtime. The “Comedy Barbarian,” as he calls himself, takes no prisoners when it comes to poking fun at society’s most sensitive topics. Finally Paquette, who has fine-tuned his comedy chops across the country as a dueling piano performer, opens the show with classic Irish drinking tunes and riotous original songs that inspire audiences to clap along (even if it means briefly putting down their drinks).

The event takes place in Racine Civic Centre’s Memorial Hall located on 72 7th Street Racine, WI. Doors open at 6:00 PM. The fun begins at 7:15 PM. Event for mature audiences only.

For video clips and show schedules of the comedians, see www.theirishcomedytour.com

Tickets available at the Festival Hall box office or Ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more information, call the Racine Civic Centre at 262-636-9229.

RAIN is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience...a fusion of historical footage and hilarious television commercials from the 1960s lights up video screens and live cameras zoom in for close-ups.

"A thrilling bit of time-warping nostalgia - Boomer Heaven!" raves the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Uncanny! RAIN are a quartet of fine musicians in their own right - as The Beatles, they triumph!" cheers the Boston Herald. "An adoring Valentine to The Beatles," declares the Washington Post. Sing along with your family and friends to such Beatlemaniac favorites as "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Come Together" and "Can't Buy Me Love.”

HOLLYWOOD SHINES AT THE HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM FEBRUARY 12- MARCH 14
March 14
Harley Davidson Museum, Throughout Hollywood history, motorcycles have shared the spotlight with heroes and heartthrobs as the ultimate symbol of rebellion, passion, heroism, and good ol’ American rock ‘n’ roll. The 1953 film The Wild One, starring Marlon Brando, cemented the public’s fascination with the biker rebel image and put the motorcycle on the map when it came to Hollywood films. Ever since, the motorcycle has shared the spotlight with some of Tinseltown’s greatest stars.

The Harley-Davidson Museum is home to many iconic stories starring the motorcycle. Beginning February 12 – and just in time for the Oscars – the Museum is rolling out the red carpet for some very special guest appearances as it showcases “Harleys & Hollywood,” an exclusive, limited-time exhibit.

Visitors to the Museum will have the chance to see, live and in person, some of the famous Hollywood motorcycles that have defined pop culture over the years. Bikes on display include those seen in the films G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Star Trek, and Wild Hogs, as well as those owned by stars Clark Gable, Steve McQueen, Ludacris, and Jesse James.

Everyone who visits “Harleys & Hollywood” can enjoy a flash of stardom as they hop in the saddle of the actual bike ridden by Shia Labouf in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and get their photo taken.

And those who want to know more about the bikes can hear a gallery talk on “Harleys & Hollywood” from a member of the Museum’s Archives and Curatorial staff every Thursday (Feb 18-March 11) at 2 p.m.

For more on “Harleys & Hollywood” and the Harley-Davidson Museum, visit www.h-dmuseum.com.
